After her academic career in France and the U.S., Marie-Laure Akdağ worked in different cities such as San Francisco, Amsterdam, Paris, Dubai and London. Having started her career leading inbound travel for a Tour Operator in California, she then went on to work as a sales and marketing manager in the luxury hospitality industry. She pre-opened, launched and managed 45 Park Lane in London, the luxury boutique hotel of the Dorchester Collection, as General Manager, partnering with Wolfgang Puck, the world-renowned celebrity Chef for the opening of his first international restaurant, Cut. Her last career move took her to luxury fashion retail as she joined Burberry as Vice-President of Client Engagement. Marie-Laure Akdağ spent 25+ years leading luxury hospitality, tourism and fashion retail businesses. Marie-Laure Akdağ, a Board Member at Beymen Group, still offers consulting services to luxury brands.
